IGP Kashmir visits Bandipora; Interacts with Officials, Jawans | KNO

Srinagar, March 11 (KNO) : IGP Kashmir Zone Shri SP Pani today visited Bandipora District and held darbar of officers and jawans in the district.

DIG NKR and SSP Bandipora besides other officers were present on the occasion. SSP Bandipora welcomed the IGP and briefed him about the security and law and order scenario of the district. While listening to the problems of the jawans the IGP assured them of their speedy redressal. While addressing the officers and jawans the IGP lauded the role played by the Jammu and Kashmir police and emphasised for citizen friendly policing. He also paid tribute to the sacrifices made by the police Martyrs in the line of duty.

The IGP also appraised the jawans about the several welfare schemes undertaken by the government for the police department. Speaking on the occasion he stressed on the role of fair investigation and speedy disposal of cases. Further he emphasised on concerted efforts for addressing drug abuse rackets by the police. Also rolling out new projects like CCTNS and juvenile police officers he expected police to make these projects successful. Separately the IGP also distributed prizes to the winners of the sports event 2018 organised by district police Bandipora at SK stadium Bandipora.

While interacting with these talented children he assured them all support in their future endeavors. Later a meeting with all the officers of the district was also held in which the IGP stressed upon maintaining proficiency and transparency in the police work.(KNO)
